He was predeceased by: his parents, James Schwartz and Frances Schwartz (Miller); his sisters, Linda Jones and Jacqueline Rockwell; and his niece Terry Berg.

He is survived by: his sister Sherry Berg (Tom); and his nieces and nephews, Bill Peters, John Peters, Christopher Berg (Amy), Jeramy Furlong, Brian Furlong, Michelle Bennington (Doug), Jackie Berg, Jennifer Oller (Doug), Amy Wallace (Mark) and Sara Furlong. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
