He was predeceased by: his father Charles Short. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Short; his brothers, Chuck Short and Greg Short; his wife Robin Short (Miller); and his granddaughters, Ellie and Ava Short.

On September 30, 2021 Ron went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness & complications due to Covid at Miami Valley Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ron to Greenview Calvary Tabernacle where he served with all his talents for over 10 years of ministry.
