It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Madewell in Dayton, Ohio, born in Wilder, Tennessee, who passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Beulah Madewell; his parents, CV Madewell and Laura Madewell; and his siblings, Emogene, Lee, Charles, Anna Faye and David.
He is survived by: his sons, Doug Arwood (Linda) and Tim Arwood (Drema Spiller); his grandchildren, Ashley Curtner, Lindsay Bennett, TJ Arwood (Ali) and Aaron Arwood (Trisha); and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Aiden, Aubrey, Clayton, Carter, Avaleigh, Everett, Emma, Scarlet, Amelia, Rosie, Elizabeth and Noah.
