He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford M. Lovett and Bertha Jane Lovett (Grossnickle); his stepmother Carol Lovett (Elrod); and his stepsiblings, Wayne Elrod and Melody Elrod Chase.

He is survived by: his siblings, Clifford Lovett II (Sue), Edward Lovett (Mary), Joseph, Vicki Lovett Gracian (Carlos) and Joyce Elrod (Pam) of Jamestown, OH; his friends, Kevin Clary and Wayne Whitmill; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Sam.
