With sadness, we share the passing of Sharon Hetzel of Dayton, Ohio. Sharon, born on October 10, 1940, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Hetzel; her daughter Stephanie Hetzel; her stepdaughter Lori Andersen; and her brother Sherrill Raper. She is survived by: her son Mark Hetzel (Beth Harris); her stepdaughter Susan Hallmark (Greg); her grandchildren, Alixx Smith (Drew), Sara Maddox (Chris), Meggi Matthews (Jake), Tommy Hetzel, Allison Berard (Pete), Mellissa Feldman (Ryan), Savannah Andersen Evans and Erica Andersen; her great grandchildren, Jackson Doucett, Ruby Bass, Beckett Matthews, Lenny Maddox and Gracie Matthews; and her daughter-in-law Tonya Hetzel. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the David's Cemetery (4600 Mad River Rd, Dayton, OH 45429).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SICSA or the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in Sharon's honor. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
