She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul McLaughlin and Mary Florence McLaughlin Strukamp; her husband Bill; her daughter Beth; her brothers, Dennis and Mark; and her stepfather William Strukamp.

She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Buehrle Light (Marty) and Jennifer Buehrle Williams (Curt); her grandchildren, Clay, Megan, Cate Williams, Siena and Will Light; her siblings, Tom McLaughlin (Diane), Kathy Burson Young (Roger), Gerry Sarmir (Frank) and Ellen Fackler (Jack); and her in-laws, Nancy Hayes (John), Don Buehrle (Judy), Mary Squicciarino (John) and John Buehrle (Shelley). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
