We are sad to announce that, on September 23, 2024, at the age of 85, Shelby Jean Deck of Dayton, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Shelby Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Shelby Jean. Though Shelby Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Perkins and Celia Perkins. She is survived by: her brother Norman Perkins; and her children, Mark Deck (Audrey) and Denise Chestnut (Randy). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
