Steven leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Steven’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Steven will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nelson and Viola Nelson (Steele). He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his son Brian Nelson (Wendy); and his stepson Ryan Cooke (Kendal). He is also survived by cousins and their children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Centerville Community Church (10688 Dayton Lebanon Pike, Dayton, OH 45458). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He was a member of the Porsche Club of America, and a founder of the successful Red Brick Reunion, a yearly Porsche car show in Oxford Ohio that raises money for the American Cancer Society.
