He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carlisle and Ruth Carlisle (Dunetty); his wife Elaine Carlisle (Muhlenkamp); his sons, Andrew and Daniel Carlisle; and his siblings, Don Carlisle and Mary Charlene Carlisle (Marge Otteson).
He is survived by: his sons, Chris Carlisle (Amy) and Pat Carlisle (Diana); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Pudge, Braidan, Megan and Daniel Carlisle. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Daniel Carlisle Academic & Football Scholarship Fund C/O Northmont Education Foundation.
