He was predeceased by: his parents, William McHugh and Dorothy McHugh (Kaelin); his wife Barbara Jane Brown; and his siblings, Marilyn Hohmann, Dorothy Ray and William McHugh Jr..
He is survived by: his sister Sara Hastings. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3970 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St Luke Catholic Church (1440 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or St. Luke Catholic Church.
