He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Ann Edwards Meier; his parents, John Meier and Priscilla Meier; his sisters, Priscilla Catherine Meier and Mary Ann Meier Oderman; and his child Thomas John Meier II.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph Meier (Connie), Father Timothy Meier, Ann Meier Carli (Glenn) and Mary Grech (Stephen); his grandchildren, Lauren Enneking (Steve), Rachael Scott (David), Hope Brunette (Michael), David Carli (Emily Rowles), John Carli (Kaitlyn), Aileen LaJeunesse (Marcus) and Joshua Carli (Brianna); and his great grandchildren, Graham, Grayson, Asa, Charles, Thomas, Madeline, Henry, Theodore, Eleanor, Emaline, Alice, Evelyn, Elliott Mae and Rosalie.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in Tom and Nancy's honor.
