He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Edward and Dorothy Rose Van Oss (Zimmer); his grandparents, Joe, Collette Zimmer, Alfred and Lucille Van Oss; and his brother-in-law Butch Orr.

He is survived by: his wife Ardyce Van Oss (Joslin); his children, T. R. Van Oss (Nicole) and Amy Learned (Sam); his grandchildren, Ryan Simon, Abby Learned, Bailey Taylor, Liam Learned and Elena Van Oss; and his siblings, Joanne Orr, David Van Oss (Carol), Joe Van Oss (Peggy) and Steve Van Oss (Jodi). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
