He was predeceased by: his wife Jewell Dean of Corbin; and his brother James L. Tunney Jr.. He is survived by: his sister Norma Austin; and his children, Leigh Tunney (Michael Pope), David Tunney (Kathy), Kenneth Tunney (Judy) and Barbara Rose (Dan Rose). He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
