She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Thompson and Goldie Barber Thompson; her husband Edwin "Sonny" F. Schmid, Jr.; and her daughter Sarah Ray. She is survived by: her children, Susan Rindler (Maury) of Dayton and Edwin F. Schmid III (Rochelle) of Midland; her sister Lois Jean Grosnickle of Pleasant Plain; her grandchildren, Michael Ray, James Brian Ray (Laura), Lisa Chandler, Jessica Jenkins (Jeremy) and Miranda Stone (Benjamin); her great grandchildren, Kayla Chandler, Alexia Chandler, Austin Mock, Vincent Schnell, Camilla Schnell, Joselyn Jenkins, Jaxson Jenkins, Maci Ray and Ellie Ray; her great great grandchildren, Ayden Lairson and Greyson Lairson; her niece Cheryl Cox; and her great-nephew Aaron Cox.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stonelick Church of the Brethren (6426 OH-727, Goshen, OH 45122).
