He was predeceased by: his parents, Alberta Meyer (Kronenberger) and Bernard Meyer; his wife Macqueline J. Meyer; his brothers, John and Joseph Meyer; his grandchildren, Christopher Meyer Jr., Nicole Meyer and Zachary Crouch; and his parents-in-law, Cecelia "Sis", Wilbur "Si" Seidenstricker, Shelties, Shep, Sparky and Sonny.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Meyer (Lisa) and Joan Ooten (Meyer); his stepchildren, Cindy Myers, Pegie Crouch (Bud) and Ron Shumard (Mickie); his former wife Mary Seidenstricker Meyer; his grandsons, Michael Ooten (Amanda) and Andrew Ooten (Mindy); his granddaughter-in-law Christy Adkins Meyer; his stepgrandchildren, Macqueline Meredith (John), Joshua Crouch (Ashley), Jeremy Crouch, Stephen Crouch, Riley Shumard and Ross Shumard; his great grandchildren, Adilene, Violet, Elijah, Gracelynn, Bentley, Emmaus, Gabriel, Eli, Cecelia, Emma and Jackson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Harper and Berkleigh; his sister Elizabeth Byerly (Meyer); his sibling's children, Jennifer Byerly Grusenmeyer, Greg, David and Michael Byerly; and his friend Paul Grice.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton—places that reflect Bill's compassionate spirit.
