He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Nilson (McDonald) and William H. Nilson; and his daughter Melissa Nilson. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sisters, Alice Swank and Sue Johnson; and his sons, Mike Nilson and Jonathan Nilson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and other family members.
