He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis Hess and Jeanne Weesner Hess; and his brother John C. Hess. He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Hess; his sons, John Hess (Carrie) of Huntington, Michael Hess (April) of Dayton, OH and Brian Hess (Rhonda) of Ona; his grandchildren, Ethan, Ellaina, Bailey, Michaela, Brice and Kalissa; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Hess, Shirley Smith (Stephen), Cheri Jones (Greg), Rick Bashore (Linda), John Bashore (Michelle Ortel) and Paul Bashore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
