He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Long Sr. and Elizabeth Long (Bridges); and his son Sherawn Younge Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Long; his children, Denise Jackson, Willie J. Long III (Vickie), Charles Long (Arleen), Lisa Colvin (Kim), Kim Smith, Thersa Wilson, Carmella Calbe (David), Val Hummons, Darris Brewer, Adriene Grier, Marla McIntosh and Marletta Clay; his stepson Damon Peavy Sr. (Lisa); his grandsons, Sherawn Younge, Jr. and Damon Peavy Jr. (Hannah); and his sister Hazel Woodard. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc. (2107 N Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, OH 45406). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
