He is survived by: his children, George Kruse (Mary) of Defiance, Elizabeth Brubaker (Jeff) of Hamler and Genevieve Emenhiser (Steve) of Defiance; and his grandchildren, Robert Kruse (Allison) of Defiance, Michael Kruse (Katrina) of Columbus Grove, Erin Willis (Matt) of Hamler and Amanda McGraw of Napoleon. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
