Craig Thompson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2025, at the age of 84, Craig Thompson of Defiance, Ohio passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Craig Thompson to pay them a last tribute.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Craig leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Craig may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Thompson and Mildred Thompson (Jackman); his son Fred Thompson (Coon); and his pet Ben. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Thompson (Wolfe) of Defiance; his daughter Sally Thornell (Randy) of Defiance; his stepsons, Jeffrey Dunlap (Mary) of Palm Coast, FL and Jeremy Dunlap of Walton, KY.; and his brother Scott Thompson (Deb) of Perrysburg, OH.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
