We bid farewell to Dewey E. Nagel of Defiance, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 26, 2025 at the age of 67. Dewey touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Nagel and Betty Nagel (Karnes); and his brother-in-law Bob Marihugh. He is survived by: his partner Sandy Hamilton of Defiance; his children, Brandon Nagel (Valli) of New Bloomfield, MO and Erin McAvoy (Makayla) of Liberty Center, OH.; his grandchildren, Kaylie, Korie, Zayden and Zane; and his siblings, Michael Nagel of Defiance, Wilbert "Rusty" Nagel Jr. of Defiance, Susie Marihugh of Defiance and Mary Waidelich (Gary) of Archbold, OH.. He is also survived by his family and many good friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Evansport Fireworks Fund.
