With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel M. Murphy of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpheous Tate and Margaret Tate (Baird); her husband Thomas Murphy; her nephews, Francis Grim and Rodger Murphy (Arlene); and her cousin Steve Kinny.
She is survived by: her daughter Bridget Murphy of Defiance; her sibling's children, John Grim (Karen) of Defiance, Rita Grim (Brenda) of Sherwood, PJ, Martha Punches (Paul) of Defiance, Greg Murphy (Linda) of Defiance and Sherrie Gleason (Todd) of Uniontown, PA; and her cousins, Betty Kinny of Elida, OH, Jan Fruth (Randy) of Defiance, Ken Weaver (Pat) of Galesburg, IL, Bill Weaver of Stoystown, PA and Karen Howell (Ken) of Auburn Twp, OH.
Memorials are suggested to Ft. Defiance Humane Society or Heartland Hospice.
