Ida Rayford Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Fitts and Pauline Fitts (Street); her husband Henry L. Rayford Jr.; her sisters, Velice Fitts and Mary Dell Fitts; her fathers-in-law, Henry and Rudy Rayford (Dockery); and her sister-in-law Francis Mae Rayford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Antoinette Fitts and Jaocrece Buford (Fred); her grandchildren, Dominique Kelsaw, Maurice Jones Jr., Fred Buford Jr. and Jasmine Buford; her siblings, Airlean Fitts, Ivy Stephenson (Jerry), Teresa Stewart, Willie Seal Booker (Peter), Berdotha Brooks (Jonnie), Annette Fitts, Dewayne Fitts (Shirley), Silous Fitts (Angela), Sylvester Fitts (Felicia) and Pernell Fitts (Margie); her siblings-in-law, JoAnn Rayford, Leatrice Rayford, Larry Rayford, Eddie Rayford, Kennedy Rayford, Clifton Rayford (Sharon), Rene Rayford (Ivy) and Joseph Rayford (Jean); her close friend Sandy McKeen; and her siblings' children, Lewis and Angie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and many good friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A wake was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Boys and Girls Clubs of America, or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
