With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Terrance Barney of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnard Barney and Blanche Barney (Murphy); his siblings, Gwen, Norman and Walter Barney; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Rogge, Faith Barney and Frederick Rogge.

He is survived by: his son Terrance Barney (Jeannie); his grandsons, Caleb and Gabriel Barney (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Daisy and Calla Barney; and his brother Burnard Barney (Nona).

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
