He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stone and Ruth Stone (Arnold); his brother Robert V. Stone; his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Stone and Scott Hoover; and his nephew Dr. Mickey Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stone of Defiance; his sons, Jonathan Stone of Defiance and Christopher Stone of Toledo, OH; his siblings, Dr. James Stone (Jackie) of Columbus, OH and Wendy Otte (Jerry) of Defiance; his sisters-in-law, Barb Hoover of Defiance and Mary Jean Meyer (Ken) of Decatur, IN; and his pet Indy. He is also survived by his family and many good friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Transplant House of Cleveland, Ft. Defiance Humane Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
