He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda Aschemeier (Stevenson) and Waldo J. Aschemeier; his former wife Susan Aschemeier; his brother Charles Aschemeier; and his grandparents, Harold, Wanetta Stevenson, Edgar and Sophie Aschemeier.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Polce-Aschemeier; his brother Joseph Aschemeier (Janet); his stepchildren, Lisa Becher (Brian), Erik Olsson (Kim) and Jackie Frejkowski (Joe); and his stepgrandchildren, Brittani Becher, Sydney Becher, Mallory Frejkowski, Madison Frejkowski, Mira Frejkowski and Avery Olsson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc. (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (510 Jackson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
