He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bishop and Mildred Bishop (McDonald); his wife Alice Miller; and his siblings, Dorthea Thomas and Gary Bishop.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Bishop of Defiance, David Bishop of Ft. Wayne, IN, Patrick Bishop (Patty) of Defiance, James Bishop (Linda) of Napoleon and Cheryl Brandt (Alex) of Defiance. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and twenty step-great- grandchildren.
