She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Sanchez and Consuelo Sanchez (Hernandez). She is survived by: her husband Michael Smith; her sons, Eric Sandys of Reynoldsburg, Daniel Sandys (Emberly) of Fort Wayne and Clinton Sandys (Ali) of Columbus; her stepchildren, Travis Smith of Paulding, Brenda Smith of Paulding and Sheila Hunter (Keith) of Defiance; and her siblings, Jesse Sanchez Jr. of Defiance, Mario Sanchez of Defiance, Jose Sanchez (Angie) of Keller, Victor Sanchez (Tammy) of Defiance and Letty Rankin of Defiance. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S Clinton St, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family or to The Ohio State University – The James Cancer Center.
