In loving memory of Mark Moats of Defiance, Ohio, who departed this world on October 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Mark leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Moats and Mary Moats (Stipe); and his daughter Amy Moats Brehm. He is survived by: his wife Karen (Kline); his brother Dr. John Moats (Joann) of Bryan; his son Wesley C. Moats (Heather) of Defiance; and his grandchildren, Joshua Brehm, Colin Moats and Olivia Moats. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (400 Wayne Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center or St. Paul United Methodist Church in Defiance.
