He was predeceased by : his parents, Sham Lal Mehta and Savitri Mehta; his sister Bimla Mehta; and his sister-in-law Santosh Mehta. He is survived by : his wife Suman Mehta; his sons, Abhimanyu Mehta and Abhinav Mehta; and his siblings, Vidya Sagar Mehta, Prem Sagar Mehta (Asha) and Renu Dawar (Vijay). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
