He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. Knape and Regina M. Knape (Bischoff); and his brother-in-law William Helmke. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Knape (Sandy) of Peralta, NM, Barbara Helmke of Westland, MI, Margaret Huston (James) of West Unity, OH, Mary Ann Gautsche (Luther) of Archbold, OH and Roger Knape (Anny) of Archbold, OH.; and his children, Phillip Knape of Defiance, OH, Kirk Knape of Defiance, OH, Kelly Burnett (Doug) of Defiance, OH, Tamara Westfall of Defiance, OH and Cassandra Jimenez (Elias) of Defiance, OH. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
