Richard F. Siler Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Siler and Ethel Siler (Bushong); his parents-in-law, Raymond Gilmore Varner and Betty Varner (Breckler); and his brothers, Paul and Gary Siler.
He is survived by: his wife Susan (Varner); his children, Joshua Siler (Christine) of Hilliard, OH, Angela Siler of Defiance, OH and Joey Helmke (Ryan) of Defiance, OH; and his grandchildren, Noah, Joseph and Kayla. He is also survived by loving extended family including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A vigil service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (510 Jackson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorial contributions can be made to Auglaize Township Volunteer Fire Department.
