He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kroeckel and Norma Kroeckel (Hall); his wife Sharon Kroeckel; his daughter Terri Apt; his pet Suray; and his siblings, Danny Kroeckel and Sandy Cranford.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Zizelman (Paul) of Paulding, Steve Kroeckel (Charissa) of Defiance and Jodi Lause (Eric) of Defiance; and his brothers, David Kroeckel (Sandy) of Defiance and Kim Kroeckel of Defiance. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Ft. Defiance Humane Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
