He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Santo and Anne Santo (Kastura); his brothers, Kenneth and Richard Santo; and his brother-in-law Deacon John Kromer.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Santo (Noll) of Defiance; his children, Stephen Santo of Dayton, OH and Yvette Schnegg (Scott) of Cincinnati, OH.; his grandchildren, Jacob Schnegg, Anna Schnegg, Sydne Santo, Madison Santo and Ryan Santo (Michaela); and his siblings, Veronica Kromer of Paulding, OH, David Santo (Karen) of Paulding, OH, Tim Santo of Paulding, OH and Tony Santo (Deb) of Defiance, OH.. He is also survived by his family and many good friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (715 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society, CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, or St. Mary's Catholic Church for masses.
