Virgil J. Meyer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil J. Meyer of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on September 16, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Meyer and Clara Meyer (Biederstedt); his wife Betty A. Meyer (Flory); his siblings, Mildred Wendt, Melvin, Walter and Vernon; his children-in-law, David Martin and Sue Meyer; his grandson Chad Meyer; and his great grandchild Luca Tobias.
He is survived by: his children, June Martin of Defiance, Connie Tobias (Mark) of Oregon and Ron Meyer of Defiance; his grandchildren, Jeff Fronk (Cindy), Greg Fronk (Tracey), Mattie Martin (Alex Derr), Dan Tobias (Kristy), Brian Tobias (Jessica), Aaron Tobias, Ben Tobias (Becky), Derek Meyer (Heidi) and Trey Meyer (Allie); his stepgranddaughters, Tina and Tricia Martin; and his sister-in-law Lillian Meyer. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
