He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Simmons and Esther Robinson Weller. He is survived by : his wife Carol L. Simmons (Adkins); his children, Kurtis L. Simmons (Sandy) and Amanda J. Mays (Corey); and his grandchildren, Austin Simmons, Elise Mays, Rebekah Simmons (Zachary Deaney), Gavin Mays and Curtis "CJ" Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Old Stone Presbyterian Church, 41 Hodges Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
