In the vast expanse of eternity, Erika shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Erika farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Heukaufer and Mathilda Heukaufer. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Parviz Meftah; her son Mark Meftah (Meredith); and her sisters, Gisela Muellers (Klaus), Sigrid Kornmann and Ann Simmons. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Her favorite charities were as follows: Physicians Without Borders (https://give.doctorswithoutborders.org), UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees), The Smile Train, Operation Smile, Orbis International, Nationwide Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Hospital.
