He is survived by: his wife Melissa Moore Poole of Dayton, Ohio.; his children, Julia Poole Nordby (Nick) of Kirkland, WA and Jonathan Dodge Poole of Mount Vernon, OH; his grandchildren, Alexandra Nordby of Kirkland, WA and Davis Nordby (McKenna) of Boise, ID.; and his sister Mary Wishau of Fredericktown, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“So very sorry to hear of the Rusty's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to all your family. I will always remember the hand full of visits we had in Ohio. From the boat rides, canoeing and sailboat rides we had were great. Visits to the cabin and roasting hotdogs in the fireplace. Home made ice-cream in the hand driven ice cream machine. The summer Grandmother dressed both of us up as sailors complete with the sailor beanies and we ruled the park across the street from their house.”
