She was predeceased by: her father Harry King. She is survived by: her mother Judy King (White); her husband Kyle Pifher; her daughters, Teegan and Quinlan; her siblings, Keith King, Kevin King (Lisa), Kathleen Rothhaar (Chris) and Kristie Strayer (Brian); and her nephew Jake King. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nephews and great niece.

Karla's love for children continued through her work as a Wish Granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
