With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lona Jean Mooney of Delaware, Ohio, who passed away on September 19, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Zora Messer and Frieda Grulen; her husband James "Jim" W. Mooney Jr.; her brothers, Don Messer and Bobbie Messer; and her grandson Zachary Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Mooney III (Laurie), Tonya Freeman, Debbie Minard (Bruce) and Kevin Mooney (Aissa); her grandson Humphrey; her friends, Shirley Snodgrass and Larry Smith; and her caregivers, Jeanette, Tasha and Tara. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
