She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Swearengin and Nina Swearengin (Fraley); her husband Norman Robert Avey; her siblings, Paul Watson, John "Les" Watson and May Anna Ross; and her great grandchild Phebe Jane Matthews.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Foster (Tim) and Beth Avey; and her grandchildren, Stacy Connors (Andrew) and Doug Matthews (Chelsa). She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
