He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Allen and Julia Hartley (Stack); and his brother John "Jack" Hartley. He is survived by : his children, Allen Hartley, Tracey Decker (Steve), Teresa Evans (Jeff) and Susan Bare; and his grandchildren, Sunny Decker, Troy Decker (Meghan), Trevor Scott (Brittany), Derrick Evans (Candice), Chase Evans (Samantha), Dalton Hartley (Haley), Skylar Ray Hartley, Nick Bare and Adam Bare. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial contributions in Moose's honor may be directed towards Ohio Living Hospice, 26 N. Union Street, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
