Norma Read Chidester Obituary
We announce the death of Norma Read Chidester of Delaware, Ohio, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 89. Norma will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Elmer Read and Elsie Read (Hunt); and her husband James "Jim" Chidester. She is survived by: her children, Laura Van Riper (Chris), John Chidester (Melissa) and Paul Chidester (Marly); her grandchildren, April Sabol, Gregory Van Riper, Sarah Wolff (Davis), Clarke Chidester and Andrew Chidester (Halle); her stepgrandchildren, Alex and Emily Caton; and her great grandchildren, Bryce Van Riper, J. C. Sabol and D. J. Wolff.
