She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Hawkins and Gladys Hawkins (Jamison); her husband Charles A. Pettit; and her siblings, Robert Hawkins, Milton Morgan, Carolyn Hampton, Norma Jean Scott, Ronald and Donald Morgan.

She is survived by: her children, Charles E. "Chuck" Pettit, Thomas "Tom" Pettit (Martha), Deborah Snouffer and Brenda Newell (Steven); her grandchildren, Keri Johnson (Carter), Heather Semmler (Derek), Misty Hoffman, S. Matthew Newell and Kaye Matson (Jeron Steinmetz); and her nephew Russell Morgan. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins.
