He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Brooks and Melvin Brooks; and his brother Dennis Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Paulette Ladd Brooks; his children, Blane Brooks (Linda) of Hilliard, Ohio, Lacie Sandstrom (Matt) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Darrel Brooks (Britany) of Delaware, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Barbara, Darren (Brianna), Caldonia, Matthew, Lukas, Christina, Madalyn, Amelia, Amanda, Andrew, Colton, Claire and Rainer; his great grandchildren, Jazmine and Nova; his sisters, Lana Long and Cheri Brokaw; his mother-in-law Wilma Ladd; and his siblings-in-law, Steven Ladd (Becky) and Jackie Brooks.
