He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Harper Blake and Iona Musser Blake of Noble County, Ohio.; and his wife Kathy Scott. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Monahan (Colin); his grandson Everett; his son William Blake (Sarah); his grandchildren, Vivian, Farrall and Evelyn; his former wife Sandra Blake; his stepson Rob King (Krista); his stepgrandson Alex; his stepson Mark King; his stepgrandson Preston; his sister Delores Farrall (late John); his nephews, John, Greg and David; his sister Diane Frawley (late Mike); and his nieces and nephews, Shannon and Sean.
He dedicated his free time to organizing local "car club" activities and could always be found in the background assisting with charity events.
