He was predeceased by: his parents, George Place and Helen Place (Marckel); his in-laws, Edgar and Helen Schwieterman; his brother Lewis Place; and his nephews, Eric Place and Mathew Klausing.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bill Place of Wapak, Carol Mox (George) of Delphos and Linda Klausing (Dan) of Ovedio, FL.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Weber Funeral Home (1840 E 5th St, Delphos, OH 45833). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cleveland Hope Lodge or to the family for medical expenses.
