We announce the death of Gary Lee Baer of Delphos, Ohio, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 67. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. Baer and Joyce E. Baer (Strick). He is survived by: his daughter Faith E. Baer of Lima; his sisters, Sue Bigham (Steven) of Van Wert and Sandra Klinger (Bruce) of Convoy; and his in-laws, Dan Rupert, Rita Neate, Jeanne Schram, Rosanne Truman, James Rupert, Mary Jo Looser and Bill Rupert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cowan & Son Funeral Home (616 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to the St. Rita's Mercy Health 4th Floor ICU.
