He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Hawes and Betty Hawes (Thomas); his brothers, Charles, Richard, Ken and Bud; and his son Billy.

He is survived by : his wife Sherry Aichler; his daughter Amy Lassers; his grandchildren, Aaron, Morgan, Tara, Claytin, Amber and Madison; his great grandchildren, Paisley and Aubree; his stepchildren, Tiffany, Nathan and Alan; and his siblings, David, John, Joe, Evelyn, Mary, Carol, Anne, Barb and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Swan Creek Community Church.
