We announce the death of Jeffrey Cottrell of Dennison, Ohio, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 64. Jeffrey will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his brother Kyle Cottrell; and his brother-in-law Jeff Dryden. He is survived by: his parents, Ray Cottrell and Sally Cottrell (Gowins) of Uhrichsville; his children, Jessica Cox, Jeffrey Cottrell (Natalie), Joshua Cottrell and Jerrod Cottrell (Megan Jones); his stepsons, Mundray Bagby and Darrick Bagby; his grandchildren, Carson Cox, Bronson Cottrell, Alydia Bruce, Jeffrey, Jase, Huxon Cottrell, Cayleb, Corbin Cottrell, Denver Cottrell, Langston Fellers, Shaylyn Melzer (Spencer), Jaedin Bagby, Rylan Bagby, Katch Greenwalt, Chase, Kaylyn and Colton Bagby; his great grandchildren, Brinnley and Wayne Melzer; his sister Mitzi Dryden (Christy Smith); his cousins, Dean and Sherry Fisher; and his mother-in-law Alice Bowe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Uhrich - Hostettler English Funeral Home (634 N Water St, Uhrichsville, OH 44683). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Jeff and his love for dogs, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas Dog Pound, 1751 Tech Park Dr. NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
